Wholeness is waiting in everyone, like a hidden jewel, but it can be hard to trust that when our minds get in the way. Thoughts, feelings, emotions, memories, labels...all of these things belong to the past or the future and make it hard to notice what’s true right now. Our bodies hold onto this, hiding our wholeness. Sending us waves of discomfort, dis-ease, or just the suspicion that there must be more.
Returning to our wholeness takes a special kind of time and space, which can feel uncomfortable in our busy lives. This is a process of letting go of what isn’t essential to us. These patterns, habits and old programs may have belonged to our caregivers and formative institutions - - they weren’t ours to begin with! These learned belief systems aren’t our true nature. Returning to wholeness allows transformation - caterpillar to butterfly. I feel like I’ve taken the journey from caterpillar to butterfly four or five times over, and every time I’m a bit more surprised!
I utilize Holistic Counseling, Somatic Therapies & Brainspotting in our sessions. I meet you exactly where you are, so each session will not look the same. This process is attuned to YOU. We’ll be present to what's arising, whether it’s an emotion or a body sensation - comfortable or uncomfortable - without trying to change it. I’m with you to hold a safe space that you can trust. We’re in the trenches together.
Lasting change cannot happen by just talk therapy. This is because negative life experiences and programmed beliefs are stored in the most primitive regions of the brain. Without accessing the limbic system down to the brain stem, you can never be free of self-limiting beliefs and the coping mechanisms developed to deal with developmental neglect or trauma. The depth of healing possible with brainspotting clears your mind, body and spirit so that your best and highest self can be revealed.
Your investment is $170.00 for each 75-90 minutes session. Sessions are conducted either in person or via Zoom.
Holistic Counseling guides you through questions, mindful processing, and other support. We take it moment-by-moment and breath-by-breath. Gradually and with deep compassion, I help you release what no longer serves you and return to what does.
Somatic Therapies are body-based therapies that include trauma informed yoga therapy, restorative breathwork, bioenergetics and other felt sense modalities. We listen to your body as it opens up the way home.
Brainspotting is a powerful, focused treatment method that works by identifying, processing, and releasing core neuro-physiological sources of emotional and physical pain, and unhealthy coping mechanisms associated with PTSD.
